Placement with Manchester Histories

We are delighted to announce that programmes manager at Malay Heritage Centre in Singapore, Hafiz Imran will be joining the Manchester Histories team in June during this years festival.

Continuing Manchester Histories successful partnership with the Singapore Heritage Board and Singapore Heritage Fest, we are looking forward to Hafiz joining us and being a part of MH2024 festival.

Hafiz Imran is a Singaporean arts and culture administrator who has actively participated and led various co-curricular activity groups, such as the angklung & kulintang ensemble, symphonic band, and the Malay traditional dance group.

Currently serving as the Programmes Manager at the Malay Heritage Centre under the National Heritage Board (Singapore), Hafiz conceptualises and executes public programmes, including festivals, talks, and art installations, to preserve and promote Malay culture. Previously, he worked as a programmer at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, contributing to community and genre festivals like Pesta Raya, Baybeats, and da:ns festival.

As an aspiring arts and culture leader, Hafiz aims to enhance his expertise in community programming, fostering meaningful connections and delivering heritage in impactful ways. He also volunteers as an executive committee member with Orkestra Melayu Singapura (Singapore Malay Orchestra) as the marketing communications lead.
