Manchester resident Jill Woodward left an extensive collection of art, including cartoons, sketches, embroideries and placards, recording her involvement with local, national and international campaigns from a peace and feminist perspective.
This exhibition reveals the broad scope of her work: from sketches of her baby son to finely drafted records of iconic Manchester buildings; drawings made as a court case observer, to cartoons in support of Lollypop patrols. They reflect Jill’s life as an artist, a nurse and a mother.
