Back by popular demand, Manchester Histories Slam is calling the curious, the bold, and the brilliant. Do you know a piece of history we haven’t heard yet? A story that deserves an audience? This is your moment. 

Our histories are adventures waiting to be shared. Yours might be fascinating, obscure, hilarious, geeky, absurd, tender, unexpected, or completely extraordinary and we want to experience it with you. 

Join us at Manchester Histories Slam Night on Thursday 4 June 2026 at Manchester Central Library 6- 9 pm. You’ll have 10 unforgettable minutes on stage to perform, play, show, sing, speak, tell, or dance the histories you’re passionate about. 

If you’re 16 or over, the stage is yours. Bring your story. Bring your energy. Take the audience somewhere they’ve never been before.

Please complete this section if your idea requires any technical support. This will have to be light touch as we have limited resources at the library. But there is a screen where you can show films and moving image and microphones so people can hear you.
