Join us at the Manchester Histories Hub on Saturday 22nd March 2025 to celebrate the launch of a new exhibition Jill Woodward 1948-2023 -Feminist, Artist, Activist, Nurse, Mother and Grandmother

Manchester resident Jill Woodward left an extensive collection of art, including cartoons, sketches, embroideries and placards, recording her involvement with local, national and international campaigns from a peace and feminist perspective.

This exhibition reveals the broad scope of her workfrom sketches of her baby son to finely drafted records of iconic Manchester buildings; drawings made as a court case observer, to cartoons in support of Lollypop patrols.  They reflect Jill’s life as an artist, nurse and mother.

The exhibition: Jill Woodward 1948-2023 -Feminist, Artist, Archivist, Nurse, Mother and Grandmother runs from 18th March 2025 – 8th May 2025
