Manchester Histories Festival 2026

This year marks the 10th edition of Manchester Histories Festival. We would love to see you there!

The festival will celebrate the spirit of civic pride and community collaboration, inviting audiences, artists, academics, and local groups to contribute to a shared story of the city’s past, present, and future.

Back by popular demand, on Thursday 4th June in Central Library, Manchester Histories Slam is calling the curious, the bold, and the brilliant. Do you know a piece of history we haven’t heard yet? A story that deserves an audience? This is your moment. To book your place see more information HERE.

The one and only Celebration Day will take place on Saturday 6 June, with the Histories & Heritage marketplace hosted in the historic Rates Hall. To book your stall and to be part of this special day see HERE for more information.

More details about the programme to be released early May 2026.

We look forward to seeing you there!
