Manchester Histories presents this Saturday special curated by Annex
Agency and hosted by writer, curator and journalist Jennifer Lucy Allan.
Representing an international roster of artists within the electronic music spectrum,
Annex Agency is one of the most dynamic artist booking agencies in Manchester. The
day will include panel discussions, screenings and music exploring the often hidden
stories of Manchester’s electronic music history. There will be time for networking and
questions at the end of each panel, with sounds by Project 13’s resident DJ, Acre.

Stepping outside Manchester’s oft-repeated and hagiographic mainstream electronic music
history to look at the fringes of the underground,
that were nevertheless crucial in shaping the
city’s identity and the electronic sounds it
produced. We’ll speak to some of the scenes key
players and ask what stories have not yet been
recorded? What else should be remembered?
And, what histories are being made right now?
