Hidden Histories Hidden Historians

Thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund Manchester Histories worked with communities across Greater Manchester to reveal the less familiar histories and heritage.

With the help of experts Oldham Youth Council, Manchester People First, M13 Youth Project, The Inspire Centre, and FC United with Sporting Memories delved in to their own histories and archives to form a fascinating exhibition that took place at Manchester Central Library from November 2017 to January 2018.

Manchester Histories & Heritage Social Network

As part of Hidden Histories Hidden Historians we hosted a series of meetings at marvellous heritage venues (including aboard a steamboat!) across Greater Manchester. From enthusiasts and historians, cultural venues, community groups, academics, students, teachers, librarians, curators and more, the Network offered an opportunity to meet, chat and build new connections with people passionate about Greater Manchester's histories and heritage.
